  "Don't challenge Satan!"

  was this one of those jw urban legends at every hall?.

  when i was 7 years old and began attending meetings, one of the first things i heard people say was "don't challenge satan!",.

  i thought, 'what would happen if i challenged satan?

  Satan shows up at the KH he opens the door and yell I'm Satan. All the folks run to the exits

  except one young man. Satan walks up to young fellow and ask do you know who I am?

  The young man said, yes. Satan ask, and you not afraid? The young man tells him, no.

  Satan then tells him what kind of terrible things he could do to him and then ask that don't frighten

  you? The young man said , no.

  Satan a little perplexed ask, why not? The young man said, I was raised in this religion and you can not be

  any worst.

  The original joke, an old man. When Satan ask him why, the old man said I have been married to your sister

  for 48 years.

  Just found out that my Mum is taking my 3 year old nephew to meetings!

  to be precise, he is my brothers nephew but that makes no difference really.

  mum is 71 and a true, hardcore jw.

  she's a good mum but has a real blind spot where her faith is concerned.. i know her.

  My son and his ex-wife made it very clear to their moms, they told both moms we know

  you love your grandson but if you take him to the meetings while in you care he will not spend

  another night ever in your home. My son and his ex wife both raised in organization.

  My grandson is 20 years old , he was five years old the last time he set foot in the KH and today

  he has great relationship with his grandmothers.

  If a young JW girl or boy (8 years old) come to the elders about a rape, why would you doubt them?

  Why even have a committee of elders to determine if a rape took place.

  Jehovah organization is a haven in this terrible world, not. They are creating a haven for child abusers.

  Their are a lot of single moms in the organization with children, and they trust the brothers

  with their life. Child abuse is not high on JW radar but celebrating Xmas can get you kick out before

  you can say Oh sh--t I forgot.

  Help finding a video of GB member saying that Jehovah may not really be God's name

  hi everyone i'm at work and need to show this video to a jw.

  i saw it a few weeks ago i think it was geoffry jackson who said that jehovah may or may not be gods real name but we use it anyways.

  can someone help me find that video?

  Just be careful tB, age among JW is not a problem with the older sisters or brothers. If there's a 20 or 30 year age difference, in paradise it will not make a difference. She or he will grow younger and you guys will meet up

  in the middle.

  If you call me Mike I would keep walking, that's not my name. I wonder do

  Jehovah know who they(JW's) are praying too. It's a insult to God, just any name that's close enough.

  God would have been great, most people use that name.

  When Did Higher Education Become Taboo?

  i have been reading about the early history of russelites/jws and in the beginning, it seems the organization was formed and headed by quite a few educated people.

  lawyers, doctors, businessman.

  you could buy voting rights within the organization for $1000, which by today's standard would be somewhere between $15,000 and $20,000, something most of us do not have on hand, unless you are highly educated and/or wealthy.

  Best pills meds or other to take before meeting?

  I use to drink after the meetings, never thought about before. A great idea, spirits before

  the meeting in order to give a spiritual talk or to get in the mood spiritually.
